Child Seat Safety

McCutchen and Sexton – The Law Firm has worked to insure that area children are safely secured into passenger vehicles over the past several years. The law firm has sponsored public service announcements; purchased child safety seats, and recently hosted the first annual “Project Safety” event at a local Fort Smith, Arkansas Wal-Mart. The event was a significant success as 74 child safety seats inspected were found to be defective, recalled or unsafe. All 74 seats were replaced at the event. McCutchen and Sexton donated 25 child safety seats to help supplement the Fort Smith Police Department’s inventory. Certified Child Seat Safety Inspection Officers from the local police department conducted the inspections. “This is the true spirit of the Holiday Season, said Joey McCutchen, to give back to the community while assuring the safety of children.”
We believe that our children are precious
gifts,
worth protecting.
A startling
number of children lose their lives each year due to
auto accidents.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
(2001), automobile accidents are the leading cause
of death
for children between the ages of 4 and 12 years old.
The Law
Firm is committed to raising awareness
to potentially help
reduce the number of local deaths resulting
from the improper use
of child safety seats.
